Voiteq is committed to continually reducing our impact on the environment, our Green Forum team is responsible for looking for areas of improvement and collating suggestions from staff on how, as a company, we can become greener. So far these initiatives include:

Recycling
Part of the local council recycling scheme, including recycling of plastic, cardboard, glass, cans/tins and paper.

Turn it Off
We have issued ‘turn it off’ guidelines throughout the company for lights, PCs and monitors which are not in use and the air-conditioning units in the building. Many of these are on automatic timers to ensure any items missed are switched off automatically outside of working hours.

WEEE
Voiteq dispose of all electronic and electrical waste through being a member of the government driven B2B scheme. Our particular membership is registered and controlled through DHL Waste Management. As part of this scheme we are also registered for battery disposal through the department of the environment.

Cycle2Work
Voiteq has set up a Cycle2Work scheme, assisting employees in the purchase of bicycles reducing the number of cars required by the team. We have also built a bike shelter where their bikes can be safely stored in a dry environment.

Reuse
We reuse the cardboard packaging to return items to our customers whenever possible, reducing our waste.

Server Virtualisation
At Voiteq all our internal domain servers and customer test servers (which totals over 80) run as Virtual Servers on 8 physical servers, saving power and reducing heat therefore saving energy on cooling equipment too.

New Building
Voiteq head office was built in 2006 so complies with modern building regulations on insulation and energy efficiency.

Technology Use
We use technology where ever possible to limit the amount of travel required by the business e.g. teleconferencing, remote access to customer sites, etc.
