WHO WE ARE

VoiteQ was established in 2001 from a core team, who have been working together in the Retail, Distribution and IT industries for over 17 years. VoiteQ therefore has significant experience in the sector, having addressed the many and various nuances of the industry, dealing first hand with the issues facing Retailers, especially when it comes to systems integration. VoiteQ’s background ensures that their solutions have been designed for retail and distribution, by people who have actually worked in the industry.

VoiteQ was initially formed from the IT function of the 100 store convenience chain ‘Heald’s Day & Nite Ltd’, following the sale of that business in 2000.

Prior to becoming VoiteQ, the Heald’s IT team had already proven their worth through the introduction of an in-house EPoS solution in the early 1990’s, followed by the development of a Business Management System for the Centre and the world’s first fully voice directed warehouse system. With the implementation of this WMS system into the Heald’s grocery distribution operation in 1998, the Heald’s team had succeeded in developing a true ‘fully integrated’ retail solution.

Building on experience gained at the sharp edge, VoiteQ has since gone on to put this expertise and unique understanding of the industry to good use. With a ‘Can Do’ approach to finding solutions to fit the needs of their customers, VoiteQ are very proud of their position today as the UK’s largest supplier of voice directed distribution systems, having supplied hardware, software, services or support to the majority of UK warehouses which have voice implementations.

Operating out of purpose built offices in Blackpool, from an original team of just 11, VoiteQ now have more than 50 personnel, dedicated to the implementation and 24 hour support of systems across the UK and the USA.

In addition to supporting their own products, VoiteQ support all Vocollect’s software solutions, and operate a Vocollect certified repair centre, providing support and maintenance for thousands of Talkman units and accessories.

Building on their growth in the UK market, VoiteQ first doubled their office space in 2003 and thanks to the continued growth in popularity of their systems, they relocated to new purpose-built premises in June 2006, more than doubling their office space once again.
